Whistler - 2017 Pinot Gris Icewine (VQA) - GOLD Medal! WineAlign National Wine Awards of Canada 2019
Tasting Notes - This rare icewine is made from a wine grape variety made famous in Alsace. Usually done in a late harvest style, this icewine offering captures the concentrated essence of orchard fruits: pear, apple and quince. Beautifully balanced, enjoy our Pinot Gris Icewine with delicate shortbread and biscotti or alone as an appertif.
Serving: To be enjoyed on its own as a liquid dessert or as an aperitif. It is important to remember that when pairing dessert wines to food, the dessert should not be sweeter than the wine or the wine will appear drier than it actually is, thereby losing the luscios sweet taste that is so characteristic of a dessert wine.
