2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot - Gold Medal Winner! 92 Points!
GOLD ~ 2016 British Columbia Wine Awards
92 POINTS ~ John Schreiner (August 18th, 2016)
GRAPE VARIETIES: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah
TASTING NOTES: Aromas of violets and iris blossom are followed by flavours of fresh cut tobacco, earthy peat, dried cherry, raspberry and rosewood with a long, lingering finish.
Perfect paired with a juicy lamb burger or a slab of barbecued wagyu steak.
From My Van City, our recommendations from @Sam_WineTeacher: Just the right amount of Merlot was added to round out the Cabernet and make it very approachable. Garnet red in colour with medium-deep intensity. The nose is layered with aromas of plum, dried fruit, stewed fruit, meat and vanilla with floral and eucalyptus undertones. Well balanced. The flavour mirror the nose with the fruit character standing out followed by a medium-long finish.
